Is This Halloween Snack Mix Recipe Good For Weight Loss?
Here is the thing. This recipe in itself is not good for weight loss because of the sugar content from the candy and the fact that it is nut free.
But trail mix in general is an excellent snack for weight loss because it is generally high in fiber and protein and low in calorie. Just stay away from trail mixes or snack mixes with too much candy.
This snack mix recipe was meant to be loaded with candy for halloween.
What To Add, Take Out Or Swap To Make This Halloween Snack Mix Recipe Good For Weight Loss
I would still highly recommend you make this recipe even if you are on a weigh loss journey. Just make these changes.
- Get rid of the candy – Keep one type maximum
- Add pumpkin seeds
- Whole Wheat Chex instead of Original
- Coconut Oil Instead of Butter
- Cinnamon Instead of Twix dust
- Nuts like Almonds or Cashews. If you still wanna keep in nut free that’s fine, just add yogurt drops.
