I’m always looking for dessert trends and then think, “how can I make this different” Well in the last few weeks, one has popped up. It’s called Dalgona Coffee and it’s amazing but I wanted to make the recipe a little different. So here it is: TikTok Dalgona Coffee Cheesecake.
TikTok Dalgona Coffee Turned into a Cheesecake
One of the first viral TikTok recipes that I have seen at least is Dalgona Whipped Coffee. If you haven’t heard of this coffee recipe before it’s an easy recipe that is a mixture of instant coffee granules, sugar and water that when whipped up with a hand mixer turns into this incredible whipped topping.
I knew I wanted to make it but I wanted to make it different. I didn’t want to make the same recipe video and blog that everyone else was making which is just spooning it on top of cow’s milk, almond milk, coconut milk etc. So I did what I know.. I put it on a cheesecake. On top of this you can sprinkle dark chocolate, sprinkles etc. But I just chose to keep in plain with just the whipped coffee.
Like I said, Dalgona Coffee or whipped coffee is extremely easy. You just combine water, instant espresso powdered, and sugar and whip it until stiff peaks form. Yes, it really forms stiff peaks. As far as I know this is magic. No, it’s probably science but. Same thing.
Other Uses for Dalgona Coffee
Traditionally, Dalgona coffee is part of a drink. It’s a glass of milk with ice cubes and a dollop of Dalgona coffee on top. But there are so many other options other than this delicious Dalgona Coffee Cheesecake of course. This can be used as a topping for:
- Brownies
- Iced Cream
- Cookies
- Cakes
- Trifles
- A Cheesecake Bar
- Cake Frosting
So all I did is simply put the Dalgona coffee foam on my crockpot cheesecake.
And that’s it! That’s how to turn the viral Dalgona Coffee into a rich and decadent Dalgona Coffee Cheesecake.
