- What Else Can You Put On This Halloween Dessert Table?
Last week, was also a great idea for a halloween dessert table, It was a recreation of the Tik Tok viral butter board.
I made buttercream, dyed it purple, green and orange and paired it with halloween themed sugar cookies to make a butter “cream” board.
What Is This Oreo Dirt Cup Made Of?
These graveyard Oreo dirt cups are sort of a dirt pudding idea that consist of 4 things:
chocolate pudding, Oreo cookie crumbs, gummy worms, and tombstone sugar cookies and also there is the optional chocolate rocks.
Halloween Pudding For These Oreo Dirt Cups
How Do You Make The Chocolate Pudding?
For these Halloween pudding cups, I made the chocolate pudding very simply just by making jello instant pudding. All this entails is sprinkling the instant pudding mix into some milk and stirring it with a whisk until well combined.
Then stick it in the fridge to set for 5 minutes.
Jello Instant Pudding Without Milk
If you do not want to use milk, don’t worry, these are so other things you can use to mix with the instant pudding mix.
- Almond Milk
- Cashew Milk
- Coconut Milk
- Rice Milk
- Cool Whip or Any Other Whipped Topping Like Whipped Cream
- Greek Yogurt
I would not recommend using water because it won’t be creamy.
Oreo Dirt Cups For Adults
Making an adult version of this recipe is so easy. Just replace 1/3 of a cup of the milk with Bailey’s. This making Bailey’s chocolate pudding.
This is the same thing that I did in my St. Patrick’s Day Oreo Pudding Cake which was a guest post for combinegoodflavors.com.
You could also use the same technique as in my alcoholic gummies recipe and make alcoholic gummy worms.
Sugar Cookie Tombstones To Go Ontop Of These Dirt Cups
These sugar cookies were just your basic sugar cookie recipe tinted black with activated charcoal and then cut into tombstone shapes.
Activated Charcoal
In the past, I used gel paste food coloring which is great for so many things but it can be almost impossible to get black or a dark grey. That is why I use this product.
Activated charcoal is just a tasteless powder that is added to the rest of your dry ingredients when you mix up your sugar cookie dough.
This is also a product that I used to make my witch’s cauldron bread bowl with spinach and artichoke dip
Guides That Were Used For These Cookies
There are a couple of things that could be used to make the tombstone shape. I had a tombstone shaped cookie cutter last year but then I moved and now I can’t find it. So the handmade template route it is.
I just drew a basic tombstone shape on a piece of paper and cut it out.
The second thing that could be done is using halloween themed cookie cutters.
Gummy Worms For These Spooky Dirt Cups
I bought these gummy worms from amazon but you can do any gummy worms.
Sour Gummy Worms?
Not Sour?
Bugs?
Realistic?
Let me know down in the comments if you like your halloween desserts to be realistic. I personally think it turns me off from eating it if it is very realistic.
Here Are The Ingredients
Also, something you could do make them homemade with my gummy bear recipe.

So, How Can You Make Dirt For These Dirt Cups – Crushed Oreo Cookie Crumbs
This is perhaps the easiest step in the whole process. Making the “dirt”.
I just put the Oreo cookies in a ziplock bag and bashed them up with my favorite tool. The meat tenderizer. Or you can use a rolling pin.
Optional chocolate pebbles
In addition to the crushed cookie crumb, you can also put these chocolate candy pebbles text to your cookie to make it look a little more realistic.

Caramel Apple Hot Chocolate

Horror Movie Marathon Popcorn
This popcorn recipe was meant to make and then plant your butt on the couch and watch a horror movie marathon.
