Hi everyone, today in my quest to make some recipes to ease into fall, I decided to make a back to school recipe. These homemade french toast sticks are very much like Burger King French toast sticks but 1, you don’t have to go get them and 2 they will be so much healthier for your kiddos. And the best part is they can be made in advance to have frozen French toast sticks that you can cook in the air fryer.

How To Cook Homemade Cinnamon French Toast Sticks In The Air Fryer – The Process
Step 1
Cut the bread into sticks.
Step 2
Put together the custard and the coating
Step 3
Dip the bread sticks into the custard for 1/2 of a second on each side and then coat the stick in the cinnamon sugar.
Step 4
Cook the french toast sticks for 10 – 12 minutes flipping half way through.

How long French Toast Sticks will take to cook will be different amounts of time depending on what you are looking for. I personally like crispy French toast sticks for this recipe so that they will hold up to dipping. So I like to cook mine a little longer, like 12 minutes as opposed to 10.
How To Make Frozen French Toast Sticks In The Air Fryer
Now, you can make this recipe and then put your French toast sticks in the freezer and then cook from frozen for a quick breakfast in the morning. To do this, just cook your French toast sticks preheated to 380• for 15 minutes to make frozen French toast sticks in the air fryer. What To Do If You Don’t Have An Air Fryer
If you do not have an air fryer you can still make this recipe. Just cook these for the same amount of time that you would cook them in the air fryer but on a sheet tray preheated at 350• in the oven.

How To Freeze Cinnamon French Toast Sticks
What I like to do for this is take any leftover that you have and place them in a freezer bag. Then just simply place this in the freezer. It’s that simple.

French Toast Sticks
French toast sticks that are crunchy on the outside and soft on the inside coated with cinnamon sugar.
Ingredients
French Toast Sticks
- 4 Slices of Thick Texas Toast
- 2 Eggs
- 1/2 Cup of Almond Milk
- 2 TBSP of of Brown Sugar
- Cinnamon Separated into 1 Tsp and 1 TBSP
- 1/2 tsp of Salt
- 1/2 Cup of Granulated Sugar
Strawberry Sauce
- 1 Cup of of Fresh or frozen Strawberries
- 4 TBSP of Granulated Sugar
- 1 Tsp of Lemon Juice
- 1/2 of a Tsp of Salt
Instructions
Strawberry Sauce
- Cut the strawberries insto small chunk and place them into a small saucepot.
- Cook the stawberries over medium/low heat on the stovetop until they start to break down.
- Add the over ingreniants. Stir constantly until the berries are totally broken down. About 10 minutes.
- Place the sauce into a seporate bowl and put it into the fridge covered to cool completely.
French Toast Sticks
- Preheat your airfryer or oven to 375• F.
- Cut the bread into sticks. I did 5 sticks a slice. Set aside.
- Combine the 1 TBSP measure of cinnamon and the granulated sugar in a small bowl. Set aside.
- Combine all the other ingrediants in a pie bplate and whisk together until well combined.
- Dunk each bread stick for 1/2 of a second on each side. Just a very quick dunk or else they get doggy and fall apart.
- Place the sticks in your airfryer or oven. Cook for 10-12 minutes flipping half way through. I cooked mine until lightly crispy so that they would hold up when being dipped in sauce but that decision is up to you.
- Pull your sauce out of the fridge and enjoy.
